A special non-invasive expandable prothesis was designed and manufactured so that the still young and growing boy’s growth will not be arrested by the removal of the tumour bone.The growth anticipated from the bone was calculated and prothesis designed accordingly and implanted.Every 3 months the leg was placed in a magnetic coil and it would lengthen by 1mm in 4 minutes.The required length of the bone will be achieved without further surgeries. The magnetic lengthening will be stopped when this is achieved
