Sleep issues may point to ‘Multiple Sclerosis’ risk!

Scientists have found that MS maybe identified atleast five years earlier as patients were more likely to be treated for nervous system disorders related to pain or sleep.
MS results from the body’s immune system attacking Myelin-fatty material that enables rapid transmission of electrical signals-which disrupts communication to and from the brain leading to vision loss, muscle weakness difficulty with balance and co-ordination and cognitive impairments.
In the extensive study conducted involving many MS patients, ‘Fibromyalgia- a condition involving widespread musculoskeletal pain was found more than three times in MS patients as compared to others.
Irritable bowel syndrome was almost twice as common in MS patients.Migraine and any mood or anxiety disorder which includes depression, were also found in higher rates among MS patients.
